Job Description

Our client,  a pioneering, clinical-stage T cell receptor biotechnology company, is seeking to enhance its scientific leadership team with an experienced and innovative cancer researcher to lead Oncology Disease Biology.

Reporting to the Head of Research, the Director of Oncology Disease Biology will be responsible for developing a forward-looking strategy for oncology with a focus on the evolution of the oncology pipeline. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external collaborators to enhance capabilities in preclinical cancer research, implementing state of the art systems and technologies.  The Director of Oncology Disease Biology will interface with clinical development and translational medicine to close the loop from “bench to bed to bench” identifying and addressing unmet clinical need to further improve the outcome for patients with cancer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scientific leadership and moving therapeutic programs from concept stage to IND and into the clinic.

Candidates are required to have a PhD in Oncology, Immunology or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in oncology research, leading complex research projects in oncology with a track record of achievements evidenced by significant project advancement under his/her leadership. Scientific leadership and experience moving therapeutics programmes from concept stage to IND and into the clinic is sought
