Job Description

Our Client is a pre-clinical stage, virtual company with an exciting pipeline based on licensed technology. It has been formed to commercialize a new class of recombinant human clotting factor for the reversal of critical bleeding, especially in haemophila and trauma. The ambitions over the next 5 years are to establish an in-house R&D capability and move from cell line development and optimization of protein purification through Phase 1 and 2 studies in a rare form of haemophilia and for a blood clotting disorder associated with trauma.

This is a business critical role to establish and direct R&D in the UK and play a leading role in raising the next round of funding.

The role holder will be part of the company’s leadership team and be an experienced project manager. A key interface with external CRO/CMOs,  the role holder will be critical to successfully briefing, managing, guiding and supporting third party activities to deliver the projects as required.

The role requires Prior R&D operating experience at a senior level in the biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry sectors, having at a minimum been directly responsible for the oversight of the following activities for a systemic therapeutic biological product(s): Preclinical development (PK/PD/toxicology), Bioanalytical sciences Process development , and IND/CTA preparation and filing.
