Our client, Santa Barbara Nutrients is an early-stage startup developing innovative, science-backed products specifically designed to support kidney health. The current members of this California-centered “benefit corporation” are either kidney researchers or kidney patients, all working for sweat equity. The company has developed proprietary formulations that are generally recognized as safe and help maintain healthy kidney function over time. Product launch in the US is planned for late 2020 or early 2021. The candidate will work closely with the Founding Team and Global Marketing Lead to develop a sales and marketing plan to launch the company’s products in Europe. This will include assessing European markets and customer segments, developing marketing plans and campaigns, and executing product marketing campaigns to support sales growth.
The candidate will be a marketer with at least five years of experience managing and implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns across the customer journey (including content marketing, digital/social, PR, email campaigns, etc.). The candidate will have a demonstrable record of success developing and executing marketing strategies to support launch and/or growth of products in Europe, preferably with experience in health products, pharmaceuticals, and/or nutritional supplements. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the European markets and regulatory landscape for health products. Experience with business development, as well as direct-to-consumer and channel partner business models is a plus. Knowledge of or experience with chronic kidney conditions is a plus.
Given the early stage of the startup, this is a sweat equity opportunity with a part-time commitment. All work will be done remotely.
