Our client has developed a software suite that helps alleviate some of the complex challenges the pharmaceutical and medicine manufacturing sector is facing today and disrupts the way of developing and operating processes for producing molecules. The 2nd generation product is just launching and they are now expanding their global commercial team.
Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, the candidate will be in charge of presenting the software and consulting offering of YF to Pharmaceutical companies and CDMOs located in the Northern Europe sector to prequalify leads and acquire new business and grow business in existing accounts. The key will be to deliver the numbers via agreed KPIs for the role which will include revenue growth from new and existing business, driving the long-term pipeline. In addition, the role holder will act as a high-profile ambassador for the Company, identifying opportunities at leading conferences and networking with target customers on a regular basis.
The successful applicant will have good scientific qualifications ideally in Life Sciences to PhD level (but at least to first-degree level), A demonstrable track record of complex sales into major accounts ideally solutions sold into Pharma manufacturing processes is key as is an extensive contacts list within the target segments, to supplement the existing customer base and network of opportunities. The role holder will ideally have experience of business development in a service context, rather than solely ‘product’ sales and expertise of high-value Software sales and consulting services would be highly advantageous. Expertise or working in a Start-up environment would be an advantage. The job will require circa 30% of travel time.
