Job Description

JAMVENT LTD is a recently established Imperial College spin-out focusing on developing a ventilator (JAMVENT) for use in intensive care wards that can help meet the increased patient loads due to COVID-19 and after that the existing worldwide ventilator shortage. The main mission is to deploy JAMVENT in hospitals worldwide, ranging from resource-poor settings to developed countries.

A CEO is required to shape the commercial strategy of JAMVENT LTD, driving the business at speed in collaboration with the academic team as well as to build links within the Imperial entrepreneurial community.

The CEO will define and establish modes of engagement and partnership agreements within a relevant industry, capable of building a successful, scalable and profitable business.

They are seeking an individual who wants to make a positive and significant difference to the medical device Industry, and who would like to be part of our journey towards making affordable ventilators accessible to all, globally.

The role requires a background in MedTech business potentially gained as a commercial or R&D director of a global medical device company, or maybe in a senior management or business development role within this space and realised value for shareholders. Ideally, the candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and networks in the initial target markets, which include both large developed markets and low/middle-income countries.

The role holder will be Investor-savvy, with an understanding of leading technology venture capital firms within the US, Europe and China, and has the ability to raise finance and is someone accustomed to the demands of an early-stage, resource-constrained business.

Please note: this is an early-stage start-up looking to engage with investors and commercial collaborators. As such, there is no remuneration for this role at this time.
