Job Description

A Scottish University seeks to appoint a CEO/Executive Chairperson for an oncology pre-spinout. It is an immunotherapy opportunity focused around the modulation of the tumour microenvironment.

The post-holder will work closely with the founders and existing commercialisation team, with the principle aim of leading the company in securing early stage investment. The candidate will be expected to lead due diligence around the current business plan and support investor engagement. Leveraging their experience and network in the IO space, to ensure the successful spin-out of the company.

The preferred candidate will have relevant commercial, international sector experience, within IO drug development ideally from helping similar companies to build teams, secure investment and ultimately exit.

The role requires a deep understanding of the immune-oncology space and therapeutic development and experience in new venture/business unit/company building. The role holder will also have a demonstrable track record of securing investment in immune-oncology field and an International network of investment funds and pharma.

 

This position will require 1 day / week for the first six months, ramping up during the fund raising process.
