Our client is a small ambitious company with plans for growth both organically and via acquisition. They manufacture their own vacuum fabrications, chambers, kits & systems and globally sourced technology-leading products.
The products find application in the production and development of advanced materials and processes in a number of high technology fields, including nanotechnology, microelectronics, storage media, energy production and bio-medical and basic materials research of metals, oxides, polymers, coatings, etc.
The role holder will join a growing team to help develop customer relationships primarily in the Midlands and North of UK to complement the existing territory manager in the south of the country and their Technical Director who looks after the majority of the academic customers.
This is an account development role building out long term relationships with both OEM customers and end-users. Whilst there is technical support from within the team the role holder will need to have a level of technical competency to manage a significant amount of the technical discussion required to secure any order.
There is clearly an opportunity for future career progression within the business for a successful candidate.
The role holder with have a minimum a relevant Science or Engineering degree and ideally relevant experience in the vacuum industry or knowledge of vacuum systems, components and good practice through a previous academic or industrial position. A proven track record in sales is required.
Experience in the use or sales of surface science, surface analysis or deposition equipment would be an advantage.
