Job Description
The client is a pre-clinical stage company with a novel technology that can remove antibiotic resistance genes. They have some initial in vivo data and they are looking to develop the pre-clinical tox and efficacy package and start the GMP work up. They have around £1m in seed funding which will last for approximately 12 months after which they will aim to raise circa £4-9m to complete the phase I and II trials.
The NED is required to be skilled in the anti-infective area (preferably biologic not small molecule) and also possess Commercial experience from possibly having been a CEO in an SME looking to take on a plural career or maybe having come from a more technology background perhaps having been a CSO/CTO or Head Pre-clinical Development. Prior board experience is ideally required and past involvement in Fund raising would be very beneficial. Awareness of complex regulatory environment is also required.
Ultimately there are two NED positions potentially available so candidates from either a commercial or an R&D background are both of interest.
