Our client is looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to lead its marketing function, playing a pivotal role in delivering ambitious organic and acquisition led growth goals.
Based near Cambridge, UK, our client is a global supplier of innovative products for accelerating drug development, combining the best science with first-rate engineering. They design and manufacture a wide range of low volume liquid handling equipment, sample management systems and fluorescence detection instruments addressing high growth markets in genomics, structural biology and drug discovery. Our client enjoys an enviable reputation for innovation, reliability and quality and is executing a bold strategy to deliver growth organically and through acquisition.
This is a demanding and diverse role, but one that will be highly rewarding. Their growth goals are underpinned by an ambitious plan to launch three new products over the next twelve months as well as entering new application areas with existing products. The role holder will be working closely with talented inter-disciplinary teams, including Product Managers, Applications Scientists, and the global sales organisation. The expectation is that this person will shape demand generation and branding strategies with the freedom to develop and execute innovative marketing plans to support strategic goals.
Our client’s owners are aggressively pursuing an acquisition strategy to build a group of life science tools companies with our client at the core. The Head of Marketing will lead marketing excellence across the group of companies as it grows, working with each of the companies to maximise the potential of the combined channels to market.
Candidates to have proven experience working in a fast-paced life science organisation where they have headed up a marketing team. They must also have an understanding of the customer, with the ability to then articulate this into a marketing strategy that’s well understood within the business. The candidate will have the knowledge and contacts in the industry, as well as knowledge of best practice and the energy, capability and desire to develop their role and lead thinking as the group grows. The role will be predominantly based in Cambridge, UK.
