Our client is looking to import POCT IVD equipment and a catalogue of Critical Care and Anaesthesia products with the intention of selling in the UK and selected European markets. Their targets markets include the NHS, private clinics/hospitals and care homes and pharmacies.
In the first instance the Company are looking for a consultant, for approximately 2 – 3 days a month (retained for a period of up to 12 months) who can advise on a range of issues including:
- How to sell & promote medical equipment and consumables to the UK healthcare sector
- Product registration and certifications requirements.
- Potential distribution partners.
- How to identify and respond to sales opportunities
The opportunity would suit someone with direct experience of selling (or buying) medical equipment and/or critical care consumables to the NHS.
Please note: The company can be flexible with the effective day rate to secure the right consultant and are prepared to commit to a 12 month engagement. Subject to success there will be the opportunity to extend the relationship beyond the initial 12month period. If should be noted however that the Company are not looking for a McKinsey type strategy consultant. The best fit is likely to be a consultant who is an ex Middle Manager.
