Kingsley Urakpo

Kingsley is an accomplished, versatile, medical professional with over 23 years of experience in clinical medicine and the bio-pharmaceutical industry (CROs, biotech and pharma companies); adept at both strategic direction and clinical operations.

Kingsley has demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutical medicine with success completing over 300 studies in all therapeutic areas with core concentrations in oncology, cardio-metabolism, immunology, neurosciences and rare diseases.

Kingsley has held positions of gradually increasing responsibility (research physician, senior research physician, principal investigator, associate medical director, medical director) in the biopharmaceutical industry with a focus on clinical development (phases I – III; IV) and drug safety. He also has significant drug safety, regulatory and medical affairs experience including supporting successful submissions and product launches. He has worked on and led global development programs.

Kingsley graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria (Pharmacology; Medicine & Surgery) and undertook residency training in internal medicine and nephrology. Postgraduate education includes a postgraduate diploma in health research (Leeds, United Kingdom), MSc in pharmaceutical medicine (Surrey, United Kingdom), and diploma in pharmaceutical medicine (Free University of Brussels, Belgium).

He had his business/management education at Warwick Business School (MBA) and entrepreneurial education at Cambridge Judge Business School. Kingsley successfully completed the High Impact Leadership program at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Kingsley is a fellow of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD), the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FFPM) of the United Kingdom Royal Colleges of Physicians.
